See what our families have to say about our classes!!!

signal“We include music now into our everyday life. Since both Mama and Papa were not very musically inclined, we appreciate learning songs from Music Together. Because before Music Together, Papa only knows one German Football Song and Mama only knows one Chinese song ‘the moon represent my heart’.”
(Max Family has attended Music Together class since baby Max was 2 months old. Also they are our VERY first family.)

signal“I'm looking forward to August when we can come back to the class.  Naomi was singing the bell song again today. I am taking your CD home with me to America to play for my parents. In fact, it's the only music CD I am taking with me! I hope that Naomi can have fun teaching my parents the songs!”
(After a session, Naomi can sing and dance all songs from Flute collection.)

signal" We play classical music and baby songs for Annika at home and in the car, however the music that she likes most are the ones from Music Together class. She would stand up, clap her hands, wiggle her little hips, and sing along with her own 'yee-yee-ahh-ahh'. The weekly visit to Chloe and Michelle gives us a great chance to enjoy music, to meet friends, and to show each other love."

signalI have found a hidden gem.
Having been raised around a lot of music, mostly Jazz and classical, my father and mother both musicians- my Dad is/was a professional Jazz trombonist and bassist- and I was also a music education major at one point...
Well, honestly, I can't stand most kids' music. But all of MT's music is truly enjoyable for adults. Most of it is not "children's music" per se. The CD has a lot of guitar, harmony and a great blend of styles. From Spiritual tunes of the old South, lullabies, and Native American, Irish, a wonderful folk song called the Riddle Song (I gave my love a cherry).
Some of the music is so tender it brings tears to my eyes actually. and some of it is very fun, yet NONE of it is hokie. I recalled the music and mused about it many times during the week and I'm so glad I have my own CD now. And the biggest thing that I liked at MT is the emphasis on the baby/child's INTRINSIC motivation.”

signal“ I sang to both my children from an early age. What I am surprised about, however, is the amazing impact that music and movement together would have on a 5-month old such that months after we finished the class, Malachi still lights up whenever we sing the Hello song.
He must have remembered the positive feeling and experience from watching his sister and other little ones singing and dancing; he must have really enjoyed me/David helping him move to the rhythm. Anyway, we still put on our Music Together CD from time to time and have a grand time dancing together as a family. Maddie still borrow my scarves and move like she did in the class.
(PS. The mom Christine plays piano and violin competitively for awhile.  Dad David plays autoharp, piano, and base guitar.  His high school band played back up for many famous American singers including U2.  Very cool.)

signal"There is always music on the stereo at home, ranging from punk to classical, but Caspar's preference is for anything with interesting sounds and a danceable rhythm. At Music Together, Caspar gets the opportunity to interact with other children in a creative, fun and, most importantly, non-competitive atmosphere. He also loves the variety of instruments he can play with during class. Back at home he instantly recognises the songs from the CD and enjoys dancing and playing along."

signal"Nikolas has one highlight every week and it is the Saturday morning’s laoshi visit. You will have guess that Laoshi is the dear Chloe. Every Saturday, we do it an event. In Music Together class , Nikolas can dance, run and giggle around and leave no place for hesitation that the ultimate goal is to express himself. No doubt, if we take the car, the MT CD is on every single time. Until the big morning, he comes to see me and says: Papa today no work right? We go laoshi? LOL! His smile and enthusiasm said it all. It is the ultimate highlight of his week. "

"Thank you both so much for being excellent teachers, we are all learning great things together and we sure enjoy the classes!  don´t know yet when we will be back to Beijing, but please count us in for the next semester."
